Objectives

Upon completion of this module topic, you should:

  1. Be able to explain the importance of protein structure (primary, secondary, tertiary, quaternary) in relation to amino acid sequences and protein interactions with other proteins and small molecules.
  2. Be able to apply your understanding of protein structure, function, and interactions to the ways in which drugs (such as antibiotics) can interact with proteins and impact their functions and role in various physiological processes.
